The Save The Vulcan campaign is holding a celebration event at 8pm on 25 June. We have recently learnt that our hard work and the support of thousands has led to owner and would-be developer Rapport to offer a new three-year lease to The Vulcan. There's still work to do in order to secure the long-term future of this great pub but a small celebration is certainly in order!

I drank in the Vulcan last year while at the CAMRA AGM and signed the petition. This is great news ~ well done. I can't be there on the 25th, as I live in Merseyside, but I'll raise a glass or two on the day. The Vulcan is my picture of the week on my blog: http://rednev-rearm.blogspot.com/
It's a cracking good start, especially for Liz and Brian, just hope that something can be done about the mid to long term future. Well done everyone who campaigned, see you for a pint soon!
